New Look • Same mission • take ACTion

Since 2020, Alonna Tipton and the ACTion Foundation have made it their mission to assist Historically Black College and University (HBCU) students with earning their degree. While there are many scholarships available to help students get to college, there aren’t always scholarships available to help keep them there. Because of gifts from its supporters and by hosting community events, the ACTion Foundation is able to provide scholarship opportunities for sophomore, junior and senior HBCU students from Flint, MI.
Having attended an HBCU herself (Jackson State University), Alonna knows that there is no other college experience like the one at an HBCU! She wants other Flint students to be able to enjoy that same experience. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, paying for college can be challenging. But the ACTion Foundation is here to help!
